Rothesay Deer is one of New Zealand’s Leading Trophy Breeders.

Rothesay Deer has been in operation for over 25 years and has an excellent track record of breeding top trophy stags and sire stags for the New Zealand market. Our deer are intensively farmed on a commercial basis so have a good shifting ability.

Our goal is to breed top stags that cater for the Safari Trophy, Velvet, Venison, Velvet and Breeding markets.

We have found that the composite mix of English and Eastern have produced the best results. Our Eastern composites also make excellent commercial or terminal sires.
